Are there any inexpensive way to fight against the cancellation of a contract for cellular phone by AT & T?
AT T & pretend that I no longer live in their service area and that over 50% of my application must be made within the service area. I have not moved since I signed the contract about 2 years 18 months ago. TA and T plan on canceling my contract on 03/08/2007. I have over 3200 deployment in minutes that will be lost. My monthly statements have always been paid by the due date. Curious to know if anyone has advice on how to fight against AT & T on it.
My suggestion is first persistence. When I called, did you ask to speak to a manager? If you have not already, is increasing the line until you can find someone to help you. This often works, but do it at a time when you have a lot of time and patience to be on the phone. Do not be angry – just be polite but firm and persistent. Be clear that if you were outside their area of service when you signed up 18 months ago, they would have informed you of that. It is virtually impossible for you whether you are told. If they will not budge, let them know that you will make sure that everyone you know to find how you were treated and encourage you to never use AT & T services for anything new. See if your state has a Department of Consumer business and see if there is someone who can give you some advice. I would also file a complaint with the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) and let AT & T know that you do for a breach of contract. The link is below.
